Mae Frances Uhrich

Mae Frances Uhrich, born on May 13, 1940, in St. Pauls, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at her home in Port Orchard, Washington. She was 85 years old.

Mae was a talented ceramic artist who poured creativity and love into everything she made. She enjoyed gardening, traveling in her motorhome with her grandchildren, and caring for her beloved pets — dogs, cats, and parrots alike.

Above all, Mae valued family. Married for 51 years to Dan Paul Uhrich, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother to Janice, Chuck, and Katherine, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son Dale Troy Uhrich and her brothers Johnny and Connor.

Mae is survived by her sisters Mary and Peggy, her niece April, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her warmth, generosity, and love of life touched everyone who knew her.

Per her wishes, a private service will be held in her North Carolina hometown.
